The FIM Motocross World Championship rolls into Kegums, Latvia on June 7–8, 2025 – an unmissable weekend for motocross fans and road-trippers alike. We’ll show you how to combine high-octane racing with a scenic Baltic road trip using a rental car.
June 7, 2025 – Practice & Qualifying
Watch MXGP and MX2 riders tackle the sandy turns of the “Zelta Zirgs” circuit during official practice and qualifying sessions. Doors open at 9:00 AM, with fan zones and food stalls around the track.
June 8, 2025 – Race Day
From 10:00 AM, witness two full motos for each class (MX2 and MXGP), plus side-events like the EMX125 support races. Expect an electric atmosphere with loudspeakers, DJ sets, and merchandise stands.
1-day trip:
Riga → Kegums circuit → Sigulda sight-seeing on the way back → Riga
2-day trip:
Day 1: Riga → Cēsis (castle and old town) → Overnight in Sigulda
Day 2: Sigulda bobsled track → Kegums circuit → Return to Riga
